Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Gated Community in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter incidents through a visible presence and clear communication. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and vendor logs, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with property management, residents, and emergency responders while documenting incidents and completing required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
