Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Access Coordination to welcome visitors, control access, and maintain logs at a commercial real estate site. Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check required and drug screen per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate front desk while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Monitor building access, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry logs in accordance with site policies.
• Receive and direct visitors, manage incoming calls and deliveries, and communicate relevant information to building personnel and/or management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures as applicable.
• Maintain awareness of lobby and entry activity, report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.30 - $19.30 / Hour

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
