Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Corporate Lobby Patrol to protect clients across Commercial Real Estate and other sectors. You will patrol, deter unauthorized activity, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

Position is full-time with a daytime schedule. The role requires NYS Security Guard License, high school diploma, and background/drug screening compliance.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as required by law.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and tenant concerns using established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, exterior areas, parking, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance or security issues observed during patrols.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports according to site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance concerns, unusual conditions, and security-related issues observed during patrols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
