Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for the Visitor's Desk in New York. You will serve and safeguard clients across multiple industries, monitor entrances, patrol assigned areas, and deliver exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by carrying out security procedures and policy.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property, monitor access points, and observe activity.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access‑related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, common spaces, entrances, and exterior grounds, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and property management representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
