Allied Universal in Minneapolis, MN is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Foot Patrol to safeguard campus communities and facilities. You will provide vigilant, customer-focused security services, patrol on foot, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, facility issues, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate campus contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Foot Patrol in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
