• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and university policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and campus concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity and maintenance issues.

As a Security Officer in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations accurately and completely in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
