Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time facility protection role in Lutz, Florida. You will monitor utilities site locations, control access, and maintain visitor records while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include patrolling, responding to incidents, and reporting observations to supervisors. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law, and a valid driver’s license is needed for driving assignments.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and critical infrastructure to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while communicating observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
