Job summary

Allied Universal, McDonough, GA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will screen personnel, manage access points, verify credentials, and support secure operations while delivering professional customer service. Position type: Full Time.

Pay rate: $18.00 per hour. Schedule includes evening shifts Monday through Friday, with multiple 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by conducting site-specific screening procedures and reporting incidents as needed.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries, verifying IDs and access.
• Monitor entry/exit points and vehicle traffic to deter unauthorized access and support operations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeters.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification, access authorization, and shipment documentation as assigned.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, and visitor activity to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly facility operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
