As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Credentialing in Myerstown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems to document security-related information, communicate professionally, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

• Security Experience:
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience. This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security-related tasks and responsibilities effectively.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Candidates must be comfortable using computers or tablets. Proficiency in basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms are essential for performing job duties efficiently.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records for a logistics and distribution location.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support gate operations, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
