Responsibilities

• Respond calmly to alarms and incidents, escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility perimeter, parking areas, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete reports and communicate observations to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control Driver in Whitakers, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor and vehicle activity, and help maintain an orderly environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate areas of the manufacturing location.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and access points, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete required reports and communicate security-related observations, maintenance concerns, and unusual activity to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
