Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Access Control Driver in Kernersville, NC. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, assist clients, and drive to locations as needed while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, logging activities, and ensuring safety with a professional, customer-focused approach. Valid driver’s license, background checks, and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check and drug screen are required.

As a Security Officer supporting a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Pay Rate: $15.39 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.


• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and report unusual activity or policy violations.


• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
