Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Control Driver in Kernersville, NC. You’ll perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, experience with access control and badge systems, and a willingness to work a weekend schedule (Sat/Sun 3:00 PM–11:00 PM). A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and enforce site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and follow site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in manufacturing and industrial areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and visitors.
• Complete reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations to leadership.

As a Security Officer supporting a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
