Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and use technology to document security-related activity. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a port logistics location by verifying credentials, visitor authorizations, delivery documentation, and/or contractor access requirements.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with established site procedures and restricted-area requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report security-related observations according to site policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
