Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Driver Site Patrol to protect clients at a retail location. This role requires driving, routine patrols, a visible presence, and adherence to site procedures to deter incidents and support a safe shopping environment.

You will conduct on-foot and drive patrols, respond calmly to incidents, complete daily activity reports, and coordinate with site personnel.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.

• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location to identify and report unusual activity.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarm systems, and support a welcoming customer experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Help maintain an orderly shopping environment by monitoring access points, observing customer traffic, and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, or maintenance concerns.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
