As a Security Officer Full Time Distribution Access Control in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $19.31 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Tue 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Wed 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Thur 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Fri 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to retail location clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter theft or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
