Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Environmental Awareness in Columbus, OH. This role includes night shifts at a fast-paced logistics location, enforcing access control, and responding to incidents

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and pass background checks.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to undergo drug screening and licensing as applicable.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, visitors and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of loading areas, docks, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access and verify credentials of authorized personnel and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and document observations.
• Observe and report hazards or irregularities to site personnel.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Environmental Awareness in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.98 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the facility and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Observe and report unusual activity, damaged property, hazardous conditions, and security-related concerns while maintaining professional communication with site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
