Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Dispatch Coordination in Sterling, VA. This full-time role involves coordinating security communications, monitoring access control, and supporting incident responses at a commercial real estate location.

You’ll provide professional customer service to tenants and staff while maintaining accurate incident records and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Experience with badge systems and alarms is preferred.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor dispatch communications, alarms, cameras, and access control notifications; document and route service requests and incidents.
• Coordinate dispatch of security personnel and resources in response to incidents and site events.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally with accurate logs and reports.
• Conduct regular patrols around the property and perimeter.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor dispatch communications, alarms, cameras, access control notifications, and other security-related systems; document and route service requests, incidents, and critical information to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate the dispatch of security-related personnel and resources in response to incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, medical situations, and other site events.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
