Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol in Southfield, MI. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to clients at a chemical/petrochemical location.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, conducting patrols, verifying credentials, and reporting observations. Minimum requirements include HS diploma and background check; CPR is preferred.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol in Southfield, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and promptly reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and contractor activity, and help maintain accurate daily activity reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, damaged equipment, unsecured areas, or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
