Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Authentication in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor security-related activity, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, respond to access concerns, and help support a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service. A guard card or license is preferred.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Operate access-control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment; report irregularities, equipment concerns, and unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
