Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and employees while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and report per procedures.
• Carry out regular unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, common areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor authorization as needed.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Monitoring in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of agency buildings, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as required, and maintain awareness of persons entering and departing the location.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
