Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation related to incidents and observations.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to incidents, patrols, and security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
