Qualifications

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles; 18+ for unarmed roles where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage entry points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Monitor badge activity and maintain visitor/contractor logs.
• Direct authorized personnel to designated areas and control vehicle/pedestrian access at gates and docks.
• Respond calmly to incidents, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Systems Operator in Monroe Township, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and help address security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles and pedestrians at gates, docks, and other assigned access points while reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeter, parking, dock, and access-control locations, and document observations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
