Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a full-time Security Officer in Boca Raton, FL. You will act as an access-control officer for a residential community, ensuring secure entry, visitor management, and incident response while delivering excellent customer service.

You will patrol, communicate professionally with residents and staff, and document daily security activities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points and verify authorized access; maintain visitor and vendor records.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly; escalate as per protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, entry points, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with residents and staff and document security observations.

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, controlled environment by verifying visitor access, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records in accordance with residential community procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with residents and community staff while documenting security-related observations, incidents, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
