As a Security Officer Full Time Arrival Screener in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and items in accordance with site procedures. You will remain professional and visible, help identify security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, vehicles, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
