Allied Universal in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Security Officer Warehouse Screening Assessor to serve clients and safeguard facilities through screening, access control, and vigilant monitoring. This full-time role emphasizes customer service and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted as part of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures and site policies.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and shipments entering or leaving the location according to procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and documentation, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations to site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter.

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and/or shipments entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
