Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Readiness in Norfolk, VA. You will provide security at a financial institution, conduct routine armed patrols, verify access, respond to alarms, and maintain detailed logs while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires 21+ years of age, a high school diploma, and successful background/drug screening in line with laws.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as authorized, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain assigned equipment and complete accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sat: 12:00 PM - 04:00 PM
