Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, while following applicable laws, training requirements, and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
