Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public-service agencies as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated access points; verify authorization in accordance with site procedures; document visitor activity, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating with site personnel and the public, following applicable policies, post orders, and reporting requirements.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while delivering dependable service. What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public-service agencies as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
