Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an armed security officer in Daytona Beach, FL to protect government locations and provide professional customer service. You will perform patrols, control access, respond to incidents, and maintain clear documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card/License required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control activities, and emergency response protocols at a government law-enforcement location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct visitors according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM; Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM; Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM; Thur 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM; Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control activities, and emergency response protocols at a government law-enforcement location.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct visitors according to established procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.


• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.


• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.


• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.


• Have customer service experience, preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
