Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and procedures.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify authorization, and report suspicious activity or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Mobile Driver in Taylorsville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
