Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time - Afternoons in Milan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking lots, loading docks, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, while communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
