Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated Security Officer Unarmed Patrol to safeguard facilities and assets across logistics sites. You will monitor access points, patrol assigned areas, and provide friendly, professional service to employees, visitors, and drivers while upholding company policies and safety protocols.

This full-time role offers a hourly pay rate of $17.22 and a schedule Sunday through Saturday evenings, with consistent shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, warehouse perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, irregularities, and security-related observations through required reporting processes.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a reliable, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
