Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to fill a Full Time Access Management role in Wyoming, MI. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.

The position includes a 5-day schedule, 08:00 AM–04:00 PM shifts, and benefits under Allied Universal’s comprehensive program. A valid license where required and a background check are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with established site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
