Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Specialist in Breinigsville, PA. The role focuses on managing entry points, verifying badges, and maintaining a welcoming environment for employees and guests at a food and beverage distribution location.

As a full-time officer, you will monitor access points, document activity, and provide exceptional customer service. The shift runs overnight, supporting operations 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, five days per week.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort with computer or tablet use.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Criminal history considered per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing as required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while enforcing site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and control entry/exit of personnel and vehicles per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, escalating to site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift handoffs regarding access activity and security observations.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift handoff communications regarding access activity, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
