Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Point Observation in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $17.42 / Hour

• Tue: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Wed: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Thur: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Fri: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Help support the orderly movement of people and vehicles throughout the location while following applicable post orders and reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
