Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Decatur, AL. You will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service at a manufacturing and industrial site, with shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background checks and drug screening as part of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers while enforcing site access procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Decatur, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control observations in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
