Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Commercial Facility Full Time Access Control in New York, NY. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and respond to security concerns at residential and other sites, delivering professional customer service while deterring incidents.

Position type: Full Time. Pay rate: $18.30 - $19.30 per hour. You will work a daytime schedule with overnight shifts, ensuring a welcoming environment and adherence to site policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to resident concerns and incidents in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, parking areas, entryways, and perimeter to identify security concerns.
• Enforce property access procedures and report unusual activity or maintenance needs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, manage guest registration, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entryways, and the property perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Support a welcoming residential environment by providing directions, enforcing property access procedures, and reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
