As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Jackson, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate visitor records. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $14.18 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.


• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-related concerns according to site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating notifications to appropriate personnel as directed by site protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.


• Assist with vehicle access procedures, deliveries, and traffic flow at controlled entry points while maintaining professional communication and following site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
