Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience required.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures and emergency plans.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying IDs and issuing credentials.
• Observe inbound/outbound traffic, coordinate with receiving/shipping, and report unauthorized access or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, docks, parking areas, and perimeter.

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in SAVANNAH, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, where you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor entry, issuing credentials as authorized, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Observe inbound and outbound traffic, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
