Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Sparrows Point, MD. The role focuses on managing entry points, verifying access, monitoring activity, and patrolling to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of security experience, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Daytime shifts and competitive pay are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document access activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Control access for deliveries, vendors, and contractors entering industrial operations areas while maintaining required records and communications.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
