Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in WEST POINT, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing site access, monitoring entry points, and supporting badge procedures. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and access-control activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, completing required reports and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
