Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in WEST POINT, VA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activities at a manufacturing and industrial location, delivering professional customer service and adhering to site-specific policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ (or 21+ for armed roles), and a background check.

• Communicate with site personnel and responders; report observations and follow site policies.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in WEST POINT, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems to document activity. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders, report observations promptly, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
