Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer for full-time 3rd shift in North Chicago, IL. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and deliver excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare and laboratory environment.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related information accurately and promptly in required reports.

As a Security Officer Full Time - 3rd Shift in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $19.80 / Hour

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
