Job summary

Allied Universal in Woonsocket, RI is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time healthcare location. You will provide exceptional customer service, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to deter security incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.

• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner following location protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management per site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and response activities accurately and promptly.

• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following healthcare location protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and response activities accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
