Job summary

Allied Universal in Winchester, VA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Verification to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and report security concerns using computer or tablet systems, while maintaining a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for incidents, access activity, and shift observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Verification in WINCHESTER, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and help identify and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
