As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and assisting visitors and employees. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and support security-related operations with integrity. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals according to site policies.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, access-control exceptions, and suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
