Job summary

Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to assist store management in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees. The officer will monitor store activity, help deter theft, and respond to security alarms while providing professional customer service.

This is a full-time position with 1st and 2nd shifts. Schedule includes Sunday & Monday 8am-3pm and Friday & Saturday 3pm-11pm, offering steady hours and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to monitor store activity and respond to alarms.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store activity to deter theft and ensure safety for customers and employees.
• Observe behavior for suspicious activity and report concerns to management.
• Respond to exit door alarms and verify receipts when alarms are activated.
• Conduct routine patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
• Provide visible security presence to prevent shoplifting and policy violations.
• Document incidents and concerns in written reports.
• Work closely with store management and staff to address safety issues.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing store policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Sunday & Monday 8am- 3pm

Friday & Saturday 3pm-11pm

• Monitor store activity to help deter theft and ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Observe customer and employee behavior for suspicious activity and report concerns to store management.
• Respond to exit door alarms and politely verify receipts when alarms are activated.
• Conduct routine patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas to identify potential security concerns.
• Provide visible security presence to help prevent shoplifting and other violations of store policies.
• Document incidents , suspicious activity, and security concerns in written reports.
• Work closely with store management and staff to address safety or security issues.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing store policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
