Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time, temporary role in Carson City, NV during the Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks. The position pays $20.00/hr and requires a reliable, professional individual committed to integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.

The role involves post duties, customer service, safety reporting, and on-site security tasks with opportunities for placement at other sites after the temporary period.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Carson City, NV

Wage: $20.00/HR

At Securitas, on-site Security Officers are the foundation of our organization. Our Officers are trained to provide a high level of professionalism and specialization for their assignments, help safeguard people, property, and information. The ideal candidates we are seeking will be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic while adhering to our core values: Integrity, Vigilance, & Helpfulness.

Temporary position for approximately 3 weeks (during Thanksgiving and Christmas week). Then will be placed at another site or moved to a flex officer position.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must have a strong professional appearance.
• Must have a current NV Guard Card.
• Must be alert and observant.
• Must be responsible and dependable.
• Reliable means of transportation needed.
