Job summary

Securitas, Inc. in Carson City, NV, is seeking a Temp - Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment, monitor premises, control access, and patrol various sites. The position is temporary for about 3 weeks during Thanksgiving and Christmas, with potential reassignment or relocation.

The role requires 18+ and a HS diploma, strong customer service and team leadership, and the ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure. NV Guard Card is required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must have a strong professional appearance.
• Must have a current NV Guard Card.
• Must be alert and observant.
• Must be responsible and dependable.
• Reliable means of transportation needed.

Responsibilities

• Temporary position for approximately 3 weeks (during Thanksgiving and Christmas week). Then will be placed at another site or moved to a flex officer position.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
