Job summary

Securitas, Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Security Officer for full- and part-time shifts. The role protects people and property by patrolling, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements include age 18+, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills. No prior experience is required; training is provided, and we offer comprehensive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre‑employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.

• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
